Rosemary & Butter Baked Potatoes

Potatoes, and I can speak for most of the Czechs, is our favourite food. I could eat them from morning to evening and never get bored of the cooked or baked variations. I took an inspiration from Jamie Oliver’s baked potatoes and turned them into more Czech version, I guess :). This recipe is crazy simple and it is so delicious. Can be served as a side dish as well as a snack!


Potatoes – how many depends on how big is your baking pan
Olive oil
70g butter

How to:

Cook the unpeeled potatoes. Once cooked, drain and beat the potatoes in closed pot so their skin gets slightly damaged. Pour them into the baking pan with a baking paper. Preheat the oven to 180°C. In a saucepan, melt 70g of butter with one tbsp of olive oil – add salt and rosemary. Let the mixture boil just a second and then pour it over the potatoes. Bake for 30 min.

After 30 min, pull out the potatoes. Take the tool, that is used for mashed potatoes,  and gently pressed each potato until it slightly breaks apart. Bake for another 10 min at 200°C.

Sever after 10 minutes!
