Baked yellow&red pepper hummus

Hummus is my all-time got to food when I am lazy to cook or made anything. It’s so easy and yet so amazing and it tastes delicious. I have tried a lot of hummus variations so far, but this one is my favourite! This is a great twist and great variation to the regular hummus. If you are bored with the regular one, try this recipe and you won’t regret it.


800g canned or cooked chick peas
1 yellow and 1 red pepper
2 lemons juice
4 cloves of garlic
10 tbsp of olive oil
4 tsp of ground cumin
2 tbsp of dark tahini paste
100ml water (or depends on how thick it is)
1 tsp of turmeric
½ tsp of chilli
salt, peper

How to:

Preheat the oven at 180°C. Slice the peppers into pieces, put it on baking paper (on a tray) – add salt and drizzle with an olive oil. Bake for about 20 minutes.

Put all of the ingredients into the mixer and blend it together. Put it into a bowl and sprinkle it with paprika and drizzle it with olive oil.

Before serving, let it rest in the fridge for about an hour.
